Welcome to the Resident Evil Movies Community, a community dedicated to the Resident Evil movie movieverse, created March 12th, 2002. The 1st film was directed by Paul Anderson and starred Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, and Eric Mabius. The sequel, Resident Evil Apocalypse was released in 2004 and directed by Alexander Witt, starring Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, and Oded Fehr.

Resident Evil Extinction was released September 21, 2007. It was directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) and starred Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Ali Larter, Spencer Locke and Mike Epps. Resident Evil: Afterlife is a 2010 science fiction action horror film. It is the fourth installment in the series of film adaptations based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil. The film will be directed and produced by Paul Anderson; It will be the first film in the series to be released in 3-D. Afterlife was originally planned to be released in the United States on August 27, 2010, but was set to be released January 14, 2011. In January 2010 it was announced that the release date was moved again, this time to September 10, 2010. After the box office success of Afterlife, Jovovich announced that Resident Evil 5 was "definitely happening" and the announcement was later confirmed by Sony Pictures in March 2012. Resident Evil 5 is slated for a September 14th, 2012 release, Sienna Guillory is expected to reprise the role of Jill Valentine as well.

Resident Evil: Degeneration was a direct to DVD release, featuring the voices of Alyson Court as Claire Redfield, Paul Mercier as Leon S. Kennedy and Laura Bailey as Angela Miller. The film was directed by Makoto Kamiya and released October 12th, 2008 in Japan @ The Tokyo Game Show, and later on December 27, 2008 in the USA and January 12th, 2009 in the UK. Recently it was announced by Capcom and Sony Pictures that Degeneration would be getting a sequel called Resident Evil: Damnation. Presently, Damnation has been announced for a 2012 release date.

#01. Be polite to your fellow members. There may be difference of opinions, but please, no personal attacks or name calling. This is a light-hearted fan community, let's not make it a negative experience. Agree to disagree if it comes to it. If you continue to be a problem in this community, you'll be banned from posting.

#02. No more than 3 icons behind an LJ cut please. Anything over exactly three icons will be rejected.

#03. Images over 100x100 - 400x400 pixels should be placed behind a cut. Don't know how to make one? Click Here.

#04. SPOILERS: are fun! But put them behind an cut for the sake of some who HAVEN'T seen any of these movies.

#05. COMMUNITY PROMOTION: is allowed, but please remember to ask either permission from one of the moderators first via private message (if they allow it) or the "affiliation" post (see TAG: 'affiliates') to get an okay. Also remember that the promotion of a community must pertain to the subject matter of the community (in this case Resident Evil (movieverse) or the actors that starred in the film). Failure to follow this rule will result in the privilege of promoting being revoked and the post rejected.

#06. USE THE TAGS: I cannot stress this enough. They were created for the sole purpose of keeping things here at the community in order and easier to find and to reduce the hours spent browsing through the calendar section. It's not a complicated request to adhere to in the least and it will be much appreciated by the maintainers.

#10. Please note that this community does not support nor allow PRF (Real Person Fandom) or Underage Content. It is not respectful to those involved with this series and offenders will be banned from the community.

#11. Absolutely NO HOTLINKING images. If you have images you wish to upload, please use your Scrapbook or Image hosting websites (Photobucket.com, Imageshack.us, tinypic.com, imagebam etc). Do not use the Bandwidth from another website, its what people call "Bandwidth Stealing" and its not nice.

#12. Keep meida like fanmixes and downloads available to view for "Members Only". Do not leave them public.

#13. Failure to comply to the rules will result in a permaban from the community.
